The Philippines: Zones of Peace in a Troubled Land

Many invisible fronts run through Mindanao in the Philippines. In order to avoid being trapped in the line of fire, many villages have declared their areas neutral Peace Zones. Having neutral observers is the only way the Peace Zones can truly protect the civilians. For this reason, Father Bert Layson has mobilized a well-functioning ceasefire patrol.
